‘Licet Esse Beatis’ sits above the front door of our family home, Squerryes Court. It means ‘permitted to be joyful’ and we have been in the business of creating joy for nearly 300 years and now we are bottling it.
We only use fruit grown and handpicked from our 36 acre vineyard, part of the 2,500 acre Squerryes Estate, located high on the North Downs at the ‘Gateway to the Garden of England’, our vines grown on a pure white chalk seam fed by a mineral rich aquifer nestling deep below the spiritual Pilgrim’s Way.
We have a huge amount of respect for our terroir and pride ourselves on minimal intervention, working with nature to grow the finest fruit for our vintage sparkling wine.
